| eating glass record release show 1 @ siesta nouveaux
this was a mega tough guy type of show. lots of throwdowns, spins, and piles.
in the middle of eating glass's set chris colohan came outta nowhere and kids were flying over my head.
once i made my way on top of a desk to get an ariel perspective i had the most magnificent view of a really good type of chaos.
other great shows i saw this week were fake problems and jay reatard instore.

initial thoughts (written 10:30 am):
"eating icecream and reading comics in bed. best day off ever. even if the icecream tastes like blood".
when i came to the doctors and nurses were talking about baby's and i asked if i was going to have one.
they assured me i was not.
the sedative has knocked me out the whole day, iv been sleeping since this morning and any attempts to get out of
bed or talk on the phone for more than 5 minutes either followed in full on neaseau or throwing up.
i can't tell if its all the T-3's or what, but that has been the worst of my post-op.
every time i lye back to go to sleep it's been very relaxing. i like sedatives.

dog day 10th anniversary feat. the sadies, d'ubervilles, george the handsome lady horse + more @ animal farm in guelph
more body shots: http://www.flickr.com/photos/suckingalemon/sets/72157606824991361/
this weekend was strange fruit.
friday i saw radiohead, saturday kate took me to downtown oakville which is really really pretty with tall lakes and long streets.
sunday i went to guelph for dog day, a tiny festival on a farm with horses and tiny cats AKA new pals.
going from one extreme to the next i felt like i was living in the surreal.

radiohead @ molson ampetheater
grizzly bear! / tha grizzz
+++ rai_l times between ed and thom. first row guys.
+ "the great radiohead rail run" with venue employees yelling at us not to run like grade school children.
+ arm tremblings in pure excitement.
++thom yorke professional dancer <3/ i like the way you move/tiny heart a'splosions
+++++wolf at the door
+talk show host
+ climbing up the walls
+ like spinning plates
+ the whole setlist really, i just couldn't mapleleaves those gems.
+ $$$ merch = 2 gigantic posters ( tour + limited edition), 1 shirt (dirty mind), 1 tour sigg-bottle
+ i think thom looked at me/eye contact/peircing souls
+ ed living up to his handsome potential and wearing a suit + smiling
+ the biggest and best band in the whole wide world looking honest to goodness humbled by their fans.
+ my sister spotting me from her seats and telling me later she knew i was in heaven.
this was my third time seeing radiohead, while iv been a few rows back iv never been first row,
it was amazing how close they felt. and getting caught up in the feeling of never wanting them to stop.
i could've been there forever.
i realized for a brief moment in time right then and there it was just us and them, it was glorious and felt like nothing else mattered.
all this was possible due to my pals being really nice to me.
mallory for the ticket and phil/lisa for waiting in line for three hours.
you dudes rule.

| no age w/ abe vigoda and high places @ the 'shoe
abe vigoda will upstage you. generally. i would be nervous if they applied for a job i wanted or put moves on my significant other.
no age had good jams.
in the middle of their set they asked me my name and if i had a blog. always deny.
i got my leg crushed pretty badly and it is swollen, i could not ride my bike home.
serves me right.
for a good time, call the king khan and bbq show:
wednesday: king khan and his shrines @ horseshoe
thursday: slim twig + magic weapon + king khan afterparty feat. bbq @ rancho

| monotonix / brutal knights @ sneaky dee's
the rest: http://flickr.com/photos/suckingalemon/sets/72157606099405103/
this show was plenty epik. my sweat burned my eyes and half the set was played in the air.
iv never seen a man play guitar on the ceiling, but maybe that is how a man should.
+ it is hard for me when my pals are down, that is foreshore.

| nxne day 2 feat. moneen @ elmo (upstairs)
the rest (albeit kinda terrible): http://www.flickr.com/photos/suckingalemon/sets/72157605603757438/
i got knocked out to my favorite moneen song.
king of tuff guys. this show made me feel 16.
that said i really enjoy shotgun jimmy backed by attack in black and julie doiron saying how she probably learned to play drums in a dream.
it was weird to have all of shotgun and jaybird in a room. the whole in-store felt like a long lost letter from sackville.
i have some photos from this.
PS. the band before moneen, casey baker and the buffalo sinners, at the end of their set the drummer whipped
his drum stick rather hard into the audience and now a pal of my sister has a disrupted cornea.
he fell to the ground and when he got up it looked like he had a terrible black eye but it was obviously
the damage showing on his face right away from the injury. drummers, don't whip your sticks.
